Skin Tightening – Non Surgical

Do you want tighter skin but wish to avoid surgery? Are you looking for a way to reduce your acne scars? Or do you simply want to improve the collagen levels in your skin in a natural way? Microneedling radiofrequency is an option for you.

Microneedling radiofrequency

Radiofrequency (RF) energy has been used in the medical field for decades. Unlike a laser, RF is not affected by skin colour. It is energy delivered deep into the skin without destroying the skin’s surface, thereby stimulating collagen growth in the depth of the skin.

Radiofrequency is often used to treat the skin from the outside. Microneedling with radiofrequency, on the other hand, uses a flow needle technology to deliver RF where it needs to be: in the deeper layer of the skin, the so-called dermis.

This deeper layer contains collagen – the supporting structure of the skin. By delivering heat energy from radiofrequency to this layer, the treatment encourages collagen production and tissue tightening in the predetermined depths of the skin.

There is little to no downtime after the treatment, and the procedure is nearly painless. It improves wrinkles, scars, and skin laxity.

What is microneedling radiofrequency?

The concept behind this technology is quite simple: tiny microneedles are directly inserted into the skin, and at a certain depth, RF energy is released into the skin. It causes the collagen cascade to break, thus stimulating the production of new collagen fibres. This is called a mechanism of natural recovery. Here are the main advantages:

  • Improving superficial lines and wrinkles on the face, eyes, and neck.
  • Improving the elasticity of aged and solar damaged “thin” skin.
  • Treating scars of all types but particularly acne scars. For darker skin types, it has a great advantage over lasers.
  • Tightening loose skin on all parts of the body, including arms, chest, knees, and abdomen. There are no limitations as to where the skin can be treated on the body.
  • Potentially a treatment for acne scars.
  • No exclusion of patients based on skin type with almost no risk of hyperpigmentation.
  • Downtime is limited to about 2-(4) days and can include a sunburn-like sensation, slight redness, or sand-like feeling on the skin.

Application

  • perfect for acne scars
  • excessive sebum secretion
  • large pores
  • photoaged skin
  • skin laxity
  • skin rejuvenation
  • skin tightening and lifting

After the microneedling procedure

Redness and swelling might occur immediately and can last up to 24 hours after the treatment or even up to 7-10 days after the treatment. Massages, exercise, dust, dirt and excessive sun exposure should be avoided uptimes to 24 hours after. Special Moisturizers and broad-spectrum sunscreens are highly recommended during the recovery phase. Aftercare is important and should be followed strictly as the treatment causes micro-injuries in the skin and will be given to you after the treamtment and discussed beforehand.

Please note that it is not possible to book a microneedling RF appointment without having a skin analysis and proper skin preparation before the treatment.
