Answers to Common Questions:

What is a facial chemical peel?

In the modern aesthetic world, peels are usually based on fruit acids like milk, citrus, apple, or grape acid.

What does a chemical peel do?

Chemical peels are the best solution when treating chronic dryness, fine lines, poor elasticity, and large pores. They help reduce the effects of environmental damage, ssmoothen your skin in your face, and brighten a dull complexion. Additionally, they help patients with acne, blackheads, clogged pores, and/or oily skin.

A few days after the treatment, you will experience peeling or dry skin. The result is a smoother, more even complexion and an improvement in pigment changes.

Who benefits from a fruitacid peel?

Everyone who wants to look fresher and seeks a smoother skin complexion.

What are the advantages of a chemical peel?

It is a safe and straightforward procedure that doesn’t take up a lot of time – you could easily schedule your appointment over lunch and go back to work after.

How does a fruit acid peel work?

Dr. Liv Kraemer will choose the right peeling concentration based on your skin type, and together, you’ll decide how many peels would work best for you and your skin and at what intervals they should happen.

What is important after a facial peel?

UV-Protection. After a peeling treatment, the skin is much more sensitive and vulnerable to the sun. It is, therefore, essential to apply sufficient sun protection with a high SPF and proper UVA factor a couple of times a day for at least 10 days after a peeling session. In those 10 days, the sun should generally be avoided.

However, a peel is not the solution for all skin problems. It is more like a “boot camp” and something you should do in addition to your daily skincare routine. Before considering a chemical peel, you should make an appointment for a personal skin analysis with Dr Liv, as we do not perform chemical peels without having prepared your skin for it. Otherwise, it would be a waste of money and time. You are not running a marathon without having prepared for it, do you?
