Sclerotherapy – Veins

Are you annoyed by these small, violet-blue veins on your legs? Have you recently been pregnant and now see spider veins dotting your legs? Do you want to get rid of them?

Spider vein removal

Sclerotherapy is the most effective way to eliminate unattractive leg veins. “Spider” veins, medically known as telangiectasia, are excessively dilated small blood vessels in the skin. They are called “spider veins” because they look like the legs of a spider.

No one knows exactly what causes spider veins. Mechanical trauma (including crossing your legs), leg injuries, or tightly fitted clothes can cause dilated veins. In addition, obesity, long periods of standing or sitting as well as pregnancy, family history and hormones all seem to play a role. The spider veins range in colour from red to blue depending on the size of the blood vessels (red=smallest; purple=medium; blue=largest).

To learn more about sclerotherapy, please request a consultation with Dr. Liv Kraemer or call 0041 44 211 88 11 to schedule your appointment.

Costs may vary. Dr. Liv Kraemer will discuss them with you according to the severity of your spider veins. Treatments start at 450 CHF (for both legs), including a follow-up consultation within the next ten days.
